Diamond on Seneca

Diamond on Seneca is a boutique hotel and wedding venue set on a hilltop property in Hector, overlooking Seneca Lake from the east shore. The lodging side is six guest suites, each named for a gemstone and each with its own character — from king rooms with lake views to a spacious two-bedroom for groups. Whether you're in for a wedding, a retreat, or a quiet wine-country weekend, the idea is the same: stay in style, stay together.

It's a full property, not just rooms. There's on-site dining and a café, a Chandelier Ballroom for events, and The Overlook — a deck built for taking in the lake at sunset. The wine trail is at the door, and Watkins Glen is ten minutes away, so you can spend the day out and come back to a comfortable, thoughtfully finished suite.

Every suite includes modern comforts, and the whole property is oriented toward the view. If you're traveling as a group and want to book more than one room, or planning an event, the team handles that directly by phone.

💎 Stay in Style, Stay Together — six gemstone suites, on-site dining, a lakefront overlook deck, and a ballroom, all on one hilltop property above Seneca Lake.

More Than a Room

Diamond on Seneca property from the lawn — the main lodge with its second-floor overlook deck above Seneca Lake

Diamond on Seneca is set up so you don't have to leave for the essentials. There's a restaurant and a café on-site, plus a café voucher program for guests, so breakfast and a coffee are steps from your door. For celebrations, the Chandelier Ballroom and event spaces host weddings, showers, and retreats, with catering handled in-house.

The signature spot is The Overlook — a deck positioned for the west-facing view down Seneca Lake. It's the place to be at sunset with a glass of something local. Between the dining, the ballroom, the deck, and the six suites, the property works equally well for a couple's weekend and a full wedding weekend with the whole party staying on-site.

Our Story

Diamond on Seneca was built around a view and a gathering. The suites are named for gemstones, the ballroom is hung with chandeliers, and the whole hilltop is angled toward the water — but the thing that ties it together is that people come here to be together. Weddings, retreats, a weekend with friends down the wine trail.

Staying here means you can wake up to the lake, have breakfast at the café, spend the day tasting your way around Seneca, and end it on The Overlook watching the sun go down — without ever moving your car. Six suites, one property, the whole of the Finger Lakes at the door.

Tips for Guests

  • The suites face west, so the lake sunsets are the headline. Amber and The Overlook deck are the best seats for golden hour.
  • Traveling as a group? Amber sleeps four across two bedrooms — and you can book several suites together for a wedding party or retreat.
  • Want a specific feature? Rose Quartz has a soaking tub and Graphite has a fireplace. Pick the suite by the perk that matters to you.
  • Ask about the café voucher program — breakfast and coffee are right on the property, no drive required.
  • Planning a wedding or event? The Chandelier Ballroom and catering are handled in-house — call the events line at 607-241-0238.
  • Watkins Glen State Park is ten minutes out for the gorge trail. Pair a morning hike with an afternoon on the wine trail.
